Mannuel “Manny” Mirabuenos, PHD

Manny is a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer (ECE) with a doctorate in Educational Management from National University. His recently held position was the director for Technical Training Center at Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Inc. He has almost a decade of leading the execution of the foundation’s mission, designing, developing, and directing a TESDA-registered scholarship program, the Iskolar-Ni-Juan (INJ), conducting validation of training curricula, designing and implementing monitoring systems and evaluation tools in gauging the effectiveness of the foundation’s courses, and facilitating technical training, e.g., Industrial Automation, Technology & Total Productive Maintenance (T-TPM), Cadetship programs, along with others.

Manny had been recognized as a student and continued to be a scholar from college to postgraduate in Mapua Institute of Technology to his Doctor of Education degree. He also finished a special accelerated class: the Instrumentation & Control Specialist Course at the Phil-Asia School of Instrumentation & Automation. Before being the director, Manny had almost two decades of technical knowledge and expertise in specialized training, from being an instrumentation staff at Rohm Electronics Phils., Inc. to a training consultant/technical lecturer in FESTO (PHILS), Inc. to the manager for Technical Services & Training Department at Intercoastal Int’l. Technologies Corporation, to the supervising engineer in the Machine and Maintenance Section of PLC Corporation, a Ramcar Group of Companies, to an instrumentation and control instructor for “Skills for the Workplace Project” at Bahrain Petroleum Company B.S.C. in Manama, Bahrain, and the manager for technical training in Oriental & Motolite Corp./Philippine Batteries Inc., another Ramcar Group of Companies.

Moreover, Manny has been instrumental in establishing the Mechatronics Technology curriculum at Bulacan State University. He shared his knowledge with students during different periods as an assistant professor, ECE board reviewer, ECE department head, ECE department OIC, and instructor at Bulacan State University, Central Colleges of the Philippines, Engineering Reviewers of Asia, Lyceum of the Philippines, Mapua Institute of Technology, and National University.

Throughout the decades of imparting knowledge and cultivating one’s advancement, these initiatives stem from Manny’s passion for educating and promoting the value of skills acquisition and development.
